Have you ever had to deal with

Excess Inventory

excess or obsolete inventory?

Even worse, have you ever run out of one component of your product as it is running through your assembly line? Any of these scenarios can be very costly and consume a lot of your time.

Advanced Web offers Label Management Solutions that can ease your mind and streamline your workflow.  From a dedicated account management team that monitors your orders to a personalized portal that allows you to access your inventories and reports, Advanced Web is your label management solution.

Through a Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) program, Advanced Web can generate, monitor and maintain your inventory based on your demand and deliver your labels exactly when you need them.   SMI helps reduce the possibility of unintentionally running out of stock on your label, greatly reduces your inventory in the supply chain and contributes to improved working capital.

Not only does this reduce your inventory and obsolescence, but SMI also reduces your cost based on the estimated quarterly volume of your labels and can greatly reduce your label lead time.

Material Pricing UpdateMarterialPricing

Dollar SignThe second quarter of 2011 is unfortunately living up to the previously communicated pricing expectations - more increases.

Films, particularly Polyester and Polypropylene are extremely price volatile with increases coming through multiple times in a month.  The reduced availability of base stocks used to make adhesives continue to drive pricing of pressure sensitive stocks higher. Ink suppliers are experiencing unprecedented material shortages and price spikes due to limited capacity in the manufacturing of specialty chemicals used in inks.

In some industries there is discussion about additional capacity being brought on line, but this won't alleviate the price pressures for years to come.  Products such as polyethylene and polypropylene will remain volatile as long as the prices at the gas pump do.  Everyone in the label printing industry supply chain is managing to minimize the effects of this uncertain environment.  First and foremost is ensuring supply to meet our customers' needs.

Variable Data TACPaper

Variable data printing (also known as variable information printing) is a form of digital printing that allows elements such as images, text and graphics to be changed from one piece to the next by extracting the information from a database.

VDP (variable data printing) has been popular with marketers for several years now and is beginning to gain traction in the label industry.

This method of digital printing allows you to vary one or more elements in a printed piece throughout the course of a print run.  In a nutshell, this means that you can change elements of your label such as the image, text, barcode, consecutive number, etc. without having to pay for numerous print runs or plates.

The marketing opportunities presented by variable printing are enormous.  Whether you are changing the graphics on your labels to represent a different flavor or scent of your product, consecutively numbering your barcode labels or magnetic business cards for your staff, variable data printing may be the cost solution for you.

The value and potential of this printing process comes from its ability to support customized printing and make such printing efficient and economical.
