Greetings!

In this issue of the LNCtips.com newsletter, we talk about how to read really bad handwriting.

  TipsHighlighter

As nurses, we've all had to deal with physicians and others who have really bad handwriting. In a clinical situation, the nurse can speak with the physician to ask for clarification of, say, orders that are illegible.  It's not as easy once a lawsuit is being contemplated or has been filed.  Deciphering horrible handwriting from medical records is a skill that many legal nurse consultants learn through trial and error. Click here for some tips to help new LNCs who are trying to figure out illegible handwriting.

Reminder!

There is still time to enter the LNCtips.com contest for a chance to win the new 3rd edition of Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles and Practice. You can enter daily. All LNCs (new and seasoned) are welcome to enter.
