Dear Loyal Listener,
We've all heard April showers bring May flowers, but nobody mentioned April snow and ice interspersed with 80+ temperatures. Talk about crazy weather! I guess this is the price we pay for the mildest winter on record.
So, now May is here....the best month of the year! There are so many great things happening this month that I thought we were going to have to create a whole separate newsletter just to fit in all the wonderful things that are on the calendar this month. Checkout our events calendar in this newsletter for a special list of things to do this spring.
Welcome to our newest team member, Dave Eddy. Dave joins us with an extensive background in radio and ministry and we are so excited to have him as a part of our great team. Dave has recently worked in radio in Hanover PA and has done sports play by play, public address announcing for the Keys, a gospel radio show and most importantly, he has a heart to serve his community. Dave will take over the role of Program Director here at AM1450.
We would be remiss if we didn't mention our newest radio show, Rely Local Frederick Business Spotlight premiering Saturday, May 5th at 1:30 pm. Hosted by business networking guru, Caressa Flannery, this program features local small businesses from all over our region. Caressa is a high energy lady that really knows her stuff!
Finally, if you are driving down I-70 any time soon, glance up at the well-known Adventure Park electronic billboard and you will see AM1450 featured prominently on the display. We are now the flagship radio station for Adventure Park and we couldn't think of a better time to urge you to take the whole family down there for a day of fun. How cool is that?
