A Different Side of Veterinary Medicine

Welcome to the May issue!

This spring has been busy at VNoC. We've done a number of Lunch and Learn sessions, which has given us the opportunity to talk with the staffs of some of our referring vets and share a meal. If you'd like to schedule a session at your office, give us a call. We'll provide the lunch

Recently we've had a number of patients who've been doing well stop by the office. We've included their updates and photos on the VNoC Facebook page, so if you haven't visited our page, please do!

As always, we'd like to thank you for your continued confidence in referring your patients to our practice. We are honored that you trust and value our services.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jay McDonnell, Dr. Jeanene Harris & VNoC Staff

I'm often asked by other vets and clients why I moved from the Boston area, where I was chief of Neurology-Neurosurgery at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, to Baltimore and Annapolis to open a private practice. The reason: my wife, Leigh Clayton, is the Director of Animal Health at the National Aquarium.

JayAt Home Rehabilitation
scoobyAt home rehabilitation can aid in the recovery and maintenance of many neurological conditions by improving strength, blood flow and sensory awareness. We provide a link to videos of demonstrations of 7 exercises, but stress that the exercises are only to be done under the recommendation of a veterinary physician. The patient should only receive these exercises if they have a diagnosis and referral. Pet owners should be cautioned that rehabilitation can be a long process, and at times their pet may object to the therapy. We encourage owners to remain optimistic and to be firm with their pet when necessary. See the videos...
HappyTailMeet Millie - A Happy Tail!
Ryan & Millie
Dear Annapolis Neurology Staff,

Thanks for the amazing care Millie received while she was in your care. I worried about her injury a little ( OK.. a lot!) but never about her care. I knew she was in the very best hands. Thank you Ryan for always keeping me informed and ready for the next thing that would be happening.

Millie's asleep next to me right now with her warming pad on her back. We'll work on some stretching exercises when she wakes up.

Thanks so much,
Robin and Greg
