2012 License and Membership Instructions

Thanks for your patience regarding your 2012 licenses and memberships. Our webmaster has been working like a dog to ensure that we have seamless data flow with USAC so that all ACA members will license in their proper category with USAC, and all our 2011 cross results are included in USAC's national ranking system. USAC has been very responsive during this time, and has added a BRAC/ACA membership to their license purchase page. All of these initiatives have taken significant work to get right. Many thanks to Yvonne, Keith and Clint, and USAC's Tom and Gordon, for their efforts over the last five weeks.

Here's what Clubs need to do:

Purchase two separate items for 2012:

1-      USAC Club Membership - $150

2-      ACA Club Membership - $95

You can find the application for USAC club membership here:

ACA

Clubs have two options to join the ACA. Renewing clubs can renew online at the ACA website with a credit card. Go to the red 'Club Join/Renew' on the home page and follow the instructions. Please note that only a club president or listed contact may complete this transaction. If your club is new, or your club would rather go by paper, you can complete a paper Club Application, located at http://www.coloradocycling.org/info/clubs and send the form and check to Yvonne.

Here's what Individuals need to do:

Your 2012 racing license will be issued by USAC - $60

Your 2012 ACA Membership is used to fund the ACA's programs and staff - $25

Your support keeps the ACA in the leadership role for local racing in Colorado and eastern Wyoming, makes you eligible for points competitions, and gives you access to our member benefits from our great partners.

Important #1:  do not purchase your individual USAC license until your club has joined USAC!!!

If this is done out of order, you will need to replace your USAC license when your club joins,

and this will cost you $15.

Important #2:  when you are logged into USAC, you need to confirm that your USAC category is the same as your ACA category. If it is not, exit the license purchase and send Yvonne an email with your correct information. She will update your category in USAC and then you can purchase your 2012 USAC license in the correct category.

Go to www.USACycling.org and sign-in as a USAC member. If you are not a previous USAC license holder - don't worry - USAC has created a license number for you. As you sign in, you will be prompted to give a password. If you are new and haven't got a password, click 'Forgot Password' and one will be sent to you. Please note that you must verify your license number and information to complete the purchase of your license.

As you check-out with your USAC racing license, you will see the option to purchase a BRAC/ACA membership for $25. Please add this membership to your cart to support the ACA's programs and people that make local Colorado cycling so special.

You can also join the ACA as a member directly on the ACA website. You will also use the ACA website to purchase a transponder for the timing system.  Transponders are $35 and last 3-5 years.  A second transponder can be purchased for $30 per rider.

Thanks all and have a great Holiday Season!
