Timing System, Registration and Call-ups for the 20111 Cross Season
Here is the plan - so Please Listen Up!
We will use the Timing System at ALL Cross Cup events.
We will also use the Timing System at Boulder Racing's Xilinx Race on September 24th.
Bring your chips!!!
Registration
Please note that we are working to make pre-registration more consistent
for our riders, promoters, officials, timing company, and staff.
* For Saturday races, pre-reg closes at 11:59pm on Thursday. *
* For Sunday, pre-reg closes at 11:59 on Friday. *
If you cannot pre-register, day-of registration closes 30 minutes prior to your race.
Juniors, this means you too.
Any time less than 30 minutes, and we have trouble getting the start list correct.
And can you guess what happens next? That's right - the results are a mess!
Call-ups
For non- Cup races, we are using www.crossresults.com to generate our call-up lists. These call-up lists are based upon 2011 results only and may not match what you see on their site for other rankings (which may take into account last year's results).
For Colorado Cross Cup races, we are using only Cup races for call-ups. The first Cup race on October 1 will use call-ups from 2010 Cross Cup Overall standings. The second Cup race will use the results from the first Cup race. The third Cup race will use results from #1 and #2. And so on.
Ankle Straps & Chip Check
Yvonne will distribute ankle straps at the Back to Basics Series on Wednesdays and Boulder Racing at Xilinx. She will also check your chips on these days to make sure they are working correctly. Please see Yvonne at these events to take care of your chip and get your ankle strap!
If you have only one cross bike, you CAN put the chip on your headtube using the ankle strap or zip-ties. If the finish result is so close that we can't tell the difference between a finisher with an ankle-mounted chip and a finisher with a headtube-mounted chip, we will use the finish line camera to get it right.
Timing Chip Placement on Your Bike - a Reminder
Please mount your chip correctly - it must be positioned
vertically to send the best signal.
Chips mounted horizontally under the stem do not send a good signal.

This is correct chip placement. The chip is oriented vertically to send the best signal.
