Upcoming Weekend Races
This Saturday J uly 11th brings us the new Cheyenne Canyon Time Trial in Colorado Springs. This sharp uphill TT looks to really put you to the test. You can find registration by clicking here. Registration is online ONLY and it closes at midnight tomorrow so register now!
Sunday July 12th is the truly classic Longmont Criterium. Fields are expected to fill for this race so get now by registering here, online registration closes tonight!
The Bob Cook Memorial Mt. Evans Hill Climb is ready to roll for its 44th year! This amazing race from Idaho Springs to the summit of Mt. Evans takes place on July 18th. The race is capped at 1200 participants. Registration is online only and closes at midnight on July 16th or as categories close. Race packet pick-up is scheduled as follows: Tuesday - 7/14 - Denver Spoke - 1715 E. Evans - Denver - 6-8 p.m. Wednesday - 7/15 - Basil Docs - 1481 S. Holly - Denver - 6-8 p.m. Thursday - 7/16 - Pro Peloton - 2615 13th St. - Boulder - 6-9 p.m. Friday - 7/17 - H&H Motor Lodge - 2445 Colorado Blvd. - Idaho Springs - 6-9:30 p.m. Volunteers Still Needed! Volunteers are needed and welcome to participate in a number of roles including greeters and information specialists, parking directors, clothing bag coordinators, drivers and help during and after the awards celebration following the event. During this time of year there are also some fantastic mid-week races to keep your legs open and race ready for the weekends.
Also, on just about every Wednesday you can race the Boulder Time Trial Series. Register online, park in north boulder and ride to the start for a warm up. You'll need it for the challenging course from Lyons back to Boulder. |

BCR/BCT
The ACA Board of Directors is currently working on updating the BCR/BCT policy. There is a rough draft version posted here. There is also a forum discussion topic you can reach by clicking here. If you promote, work at or compete in cross race, please take the time to review the policy and discuss it on the forum.
There will be a member input meeting for the revisions to the BCR/BCT policy on Monday, July 13th, 6:30 p.m. at the REI in Boulder. If you have any specific items you would like to be addressed, please send an e-mail to execdir@americancycling.org

A few closing notes:
-Don't forget we still have 9 weekends of great racing AFTER the Fourth of July. The month of August looks to be one of the best in years, culminating in the Steamboat Springs Stage Race on Labor Day weekend.
