Accreditation Canada Accreditation

Shortly after graduation, most if not all, of your graduates will be experiencing Accreditation Canada accreditation with their first employer.  Appreciating what health services accreditation is about, its contribution not only to safer and quality healthcare but also to a safer and quality workplace for the employees and others, is fundamental.  As nurses, the accreditation process can be optimized or minimized and ignored.  Optimizing the process is essential if we are together to succeed in improving quality for clients and those providing care. Consequently, I wish to suggest that as your curriculum is reviewed, you consider including reference to health services accreditation by Accreditation Canada.  This does not need to be a timing consuming curriculum element yet a strategic reference.

I would be pleased to further elaborate or contribute to some highlights that might be included within your curriculum content.   Please feel free to contact me at any time by email ( [email protected] ) or telephone (800-814-7769 ext 268).
