Ethics in Practice: Ethics, Relationships and Quality Practice Environments
The Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses maintains that the quality of the work environment in which nurses practise is fundamental and has a significant influence on practice. This Ethics in Practice paper focuses on positive nursing relationships as one way nurses can improve their experience within their practice environments. It explores using the Code as a tool to help foster positive nursing relationships and practice environments under the following themes: nursing leadership, supporting each other, supporting the team, and supporting the patient and family. Déontologie pratique: Éthique, relations et milieux de pratique de qualité
Le Code de déontologie des infirmières et infirmiers maintient que la qualité du milieu de travail où pratiquent les infirmières et les infirmiers joue un rôle fondamental et exerce une influence importante sur la pratique. Ce document de la série Déontologie pratique porte spécifiquement sur l'existence de relations infirmières positives considérées comme un des moyens pour les infirmières et infirmiers d'améliorer leur expérience dans leur milieu de pratique. On explore l'utilisation du Code en tant qu'outil permettant d'encourager le caractère positif des relations infirmières et des milieux de pratique dans le contexte des thèmes suivants : leadership de la profession infirmière, entraide, soutien de l'équipe et appui au patient et à sa famille.
