On December 8, Yolanda Ortiz and the team at Tempo Young Adult Resource Center were named one of six 2012 Social Innovators by the Social Innovation Forum, a program of Root Cause. This prestigious designation gives Tempo the unique opportunity to gain visibility, expand its network, and build capacity

As a Social Innovator, Tempo will receive 12 months of intensive support from the Social Innovation Forum, including consulting, executive coaching, in-kind services, and access to new networks, culminating in a presentation at the Social Innovation Forum's annual Showcase in May.

Life lessons from a former Wayside Campus student
Khadija
Khadija

Khadija, 15, was until recently a resident of The Wayside Campus. When she transitioned out of the program, she left a heartfelt letter to the girls at Edgell House:

"...Home is not just a place you live, home is where your heart is, where you belong. I'm going to miss y'all a lot - do good, be strong. Because you don't want to have to be in programs all your life, you got to enjoy life now, because life is too short."
