ABSENCES  
Call RE Office prior to the start of class at 708.352.4555 or email
sfxreled@sfx-lg.org

SIGN IN PROCEDURE  
Please make sure to stop in the RE Office whenever you are in the building to sign in before going to your child's class or to a presentation in Joyce Hall.

EARLY DISMISSAL  
Parent note required.
Stop in the RE Office to sign your child out.

PICK UP PROCEDURES  
Please do not double park.
Children always have the right of way.
Be considerate of our neighbors on Waiola and Spring Avenues.

CLASS TIMES  
Sunday: 9:00-10:15am
Wednesday: 4:00-5:15pm
Wednesday: 6:15-7:30pm

Please make sure your child arrives five minutes early so that class can begin on time.

Kindergarten parents ONLY may walk their child into the building.

Coordinator's Message
  
I hope everyone enjoys the week off from RE Sunday and next Wednesday.  These At Home Lessons are great opportunities for your family to spend some time together. I hope you will take advantage of it. You can complete the lesson anything from now until due date of March 7.  Your child(ren) will get class credit for January 29 ond February 1 if you complete the worksheet for the lesson and return it to the RE Office by the due date.

A great opportunity for families to be of service together will once again be offered by our Family Outreach Ministry.  Feed My Starving Children, in Aurora,will benefit from our participation on Saturday, February 18 from 11:30am-1:30pm.

At Home With Our Faith Lesson

A hard copy of the January/February At Home With Our Faith Lesson for families went home on Sunday, January 22 and Wednesday, January 25.  You will also find it as an attachment with this Newsletter.  This lesson can be completed any time between January and March 6 to get attendance credit for January 29 and February 1.  The completed form needs to be returned by March 7  to get credit for that week of class.  Enjoy your time together!  

 

5th Grade Class Liturgy

The 6 th graders will  take on some of the liturgical roles at the Noon Mass, Sunday, February 5.  There will be a practice on Saturday, February 4, at 1:00 pm for approximately 45 minutes for the children who will be taking on any of the liturgical roles. Encourage your child to participate!  Please be present at the Noon Mass on Sunday, February 5,  even if you child does not make the practice.    

Remember:  ALL Religious Ed Families are invited to these liturgies.  Hope to see many of you there!  

 

Eucharistic Prep Liturgy

The next Eucharistic Prep Liturgy for the children receiving their First Communion in May will be on February 5 at 1:30pm in church.  Please let us know by Thursday, Feb. 2, if you will be in need of using our babysitting service.

 

Please note that a mailing will be going home in early February about the special celebration of First Communion.  Appropriate dress, DVD order form, and other important information will be in the mailing.  PLEASE NOTE that there is an attachment to this News Bulletin regarding a First Communion Trunk Show this weekend right here in La Grange.  You will receive other flyers promoting the purchase of First Communion attire closer to the February mailing.   

 

Women's Club Luncheon 
The annual SFX Pre-Lenten Women's Luncheon will be held on Saturday, February 11 at Marriott Burr Ridge. Invitations were mailed out to all women in the parish. Your RSVP is due by January 27. It is always a GREAT afternoon!

School Reach
As you know, the Religious Ed Program has, once again, contracted School Reach to contact parents and families when it is necessary to call for emergency closings or for any other unforseen reason(s).
