Coordinator's Message
It was good having everyone back in class this past Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing students and catechists as they come back this Sunday. Students in grades 2-8 will receive their evaluation for the first semester.  Please ask you child to show you their evaluation.

We will be trying very hard to dismiss on time.  Sometimes the nature of the activity your child is involved in takes a little longer to complete. Thanks for understanding. I am sure you are aware of how difficult it sometimes is to get your own family our the door on time let alone a classroom four times or more that number and a building of hundreds.  We will, however, continue to work on dismissing on time. Thanks for your efforts to getting your child(ren) here on time AND picking up on time.

There are times when parents need to come in to the RE Office on a Sunday morning to sign their child(ren) out early for any given reason.  You are asked NOT to park your car in the driving exit lane next to the cones.  Parking your car there makes it difficult for families who are leaving the 9:00 Mass to leave the parking lot.  Please find a parking spot and then come in to the building.  Thank you for your cooperation with this request.

 5th Grade Reconciliation
Our 5th Graders will be celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation during class time in the chapel on Sunday, January 15 and Wednesday, January 18.

5th Grade Liturgy
The 5th graders will take on some of the liturgical roles at the Noon Mass, Sunday, January 22. They have been working diligently to prepare for this celebration.  A stole for the presider (priest) to wear and a banner of symbols that will be placed in front of the altar, along with "bread Making" are just a few ways of getting ready for this celebration. There will be a practice on Saturday, January 21 at 1:00pm for apporximately 45 minutes for the children who will be taking on any of the liturgical roles. However, it is our goal for ALL 5th graders and their families to be present for the Noon Mass on January 22 regardless if your child is able to make the practice or not.

Women's Club Luncheon

The annual SFX Pre-Lenten Women's Luncheon will be held on Saturday, February 11 at Marriott Burr Ridge. Invitations were mailed out to all women in the parish. Your RSVP is due by January 27. It is always a GREAT afternoon!
