Rotary Definition

Rotary is an organization of business and professional persons united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build good will and peace in the world.

Our Mission

"Doing good in the World is more than a motto.  It is our goal, our mission, and our reminder.  It expresses in the clearest terms why we have a Foundation, and it challenges us to reach as far as we can to do the most good possible with everything we have.  Our Foundation exisits to support the good that we can do through Rotary.  It expands our reach, increases our strength, and makes our service more powerful and more effective.  Because of our Foundation we can, very simple, do more of our Rotary work."

2004-2005

SARGEANT AT ARMS, Phil Hardas

There was $1263 in the 50/50 with 17 cards left in the deck and the Ace remained elusive.

Adrain was honorary fine master today and fined everyone who wanted New England to win the uperbowl.

PROGRAM: IDOT In Motion, Ross Brenkenridge

Ross serves at the Community Relations Advisor.  IDOT in motion is a communication project to update individuals on their daily routes that would not normally go to the website to get information.

IDOT in motion uses a database that allows individuals to sign-up to receive email updates on their district (and if available will come straight to the phone).  This will help keep everyone aware of constuction projects and ferry closings that will effect their daily drives.

The new database/email service has saved them over 100k as they were paying $7500 for each mailing through the USPS.  Our district, District 8 has the most aggressive road construction plans in the state outside of Cook County.  Currently there are 532 projects scheduled for hte next year.
