PROGRAM: Terry Lammers, President's Farewell Address

Terry announced he was not running for a 2nd term.  He thanked his board and said many others help out and often aren't recognized. He thanked Tom Wehrle for arriving early each week and bringing the banners, putting out the nametags and other equipment and making sure we are organized. He also thanked Len Daiber for his input throughout the year and Henry for calling to check on him almost weekly to see if he needed anything as President.

Terry noted various accomplishments during his club year:

  • Porch and ramp at a local family's home, including rocking the driveway and clearing out the landscaping with the help of Carrie's youth group.
  • His International Jamaican Dental Project is a success with lots of equipment going down to assist the dentists there in a few weeks
  • Other Hands-on Community Service started with Rotary (Kevin and volunteers) picking up items for HACSM from donors
  • The youth exchange will continue after a positive year of hosting Franzi.
  • Progressive Dinner was a fun social outing and a success
  • He noted that membership still needs to be a priority and with activities and impact like we had this year we have the tools to grow.
  • He also asked members to consider getting involved on the board or on a committee. Many of the same people have led our fundraisers for several years and will need someone else to take over soon
  • A well project is still in the works to be carried out in Maura's term.He Thanked Bill, Maura, Holli and Jen for their help throughout the year with the exchange program and transporting/visiting/entertaining Franzi.

Terry was given a standing ovation as Maura presented him with his President's Gavel and congratulated him on a year well-done.
