COMMUNITY SERVICE - Kevin Dewaele - WELCOME BACK!
Information will be distributed shortly on involvement in HACSMs adopt a family project.
PROGRAM: Club Presentations & Club Assembly

District Governor, David Parsons, was in attendance today to present the club with a Polio Plus Certificate for contributions of our 2000 to IR to assist with Polio arridaction.  There are only 6 clubs in Illinois that fall in this club.  Mr. Parsons shared that a goal he has for his district is "Every Member, Every Year," which is every Rotarian giving $100 to the foundation every year.

 

The second presentation was the Assistant District Governor Banner.

Wayne (substituting for Adrain Rogier), then made 3 heart felt Paul Harris Fellow presentations to Mark Reaka, Barry Thomas, and Sherry Thomas.  Mark is a current Rotarian who is involved in many service avenues in Highland and is the first of his Giving Circle to be awarded a PHF.  Highland Rotary Club chose the Thomas' to be awarded the PHFs because of their outstanding contributions to the Highland Community and their impact on generations of students.

Terry then called for the club to move to their assigned committees to discuss direction and duties.  The following committees have been designated; Citrus Sales, Car Raffle, Golf Tournament, Greeter, Membership, By-laws, Youth Exchange, Fish Race, and Programs.  If you have any interest in serving on any of these committees please contact Terry.  His goals is that all members are activitly involved in the club through some aspect!
