Congratulations on 60 years Roland!

 

 

 

Congratulations Henry on wonderful years of service! 

There were 30 members in attendance at the Membershiop Drive held at the Highland Country Club.  Welcomed were 8 guests; Refreshments were served as guests were able to network and view information about Highland Rotary and its impact on the community as it played on the big screen tv.
 
Terry began by having guests introduce themselves and each member did so as well. We also heard from a few members with their thoughts on why Rotary is 'the place to be'.  Then Terry covered many details regarding Rotary's founding, Rotary international and of course, information about our club and what it means to be a Highland Rotary Club Member.  Each guest received an application and a handout called 'What is Rotary?' After Terry's presentation, Roland Harris and Henry Metzger were awarded Family and Community Service Awards from Highland Rotary, recognizing their long term service and leadership in the club. Roland mentioned that his 60th year anniversary with the club was the next day, September 15th!  It was also noted that Henry's 90th birthday is coming up so we sang 'Happy Birthday' to Henry, although it was a little off key, so we'll consider it practice for when we sing to him next week!
