PROGRAM

03-02-2010 REHA OZMEN
Senator Kyle McCarter

Kyle is typically only in his office on Monday afternoons, here in Highland.  To fix Illinois's budget crisis, he theory is that "We need public elected officials who are out to serve the public and not themselves."  He said that there is not a line item budget for Illinois.  Money is just given to the Governor to spend as his discretion.  Kyle feels the situation can be fixed with cutbacks in Education and Medicaid.  Kyle also feels that a very expensive audit would be worth the price, because of all the wasteful spending that occurs in Illinois, especially on Illegal immigrant healthcare.
