Today's meeting was opened by our President Elect, Terry Lammers, and Deacon Ron Hesson led us in prayer.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
 * The Meeting was started with a moment of silence for the passing of fellow Rotarian, Dave Rehkembper.  Terry Lammers, Don Johannes, and Linda Jakel all told stories about Dave.  He was a dedicated Rotarian with 29 years of perfect attendance.
 
*Adrian Rogier announced that it was time for all sustaining members to pay $100 to him.  Make checks payable to Rotary Foundation.  The following are a list of each group, in case you forgot. 
 - Group 1 - Bill Sullivan, Lisa Hunsche, Terry Leitshuh, Rich Knebel, Len Daiber, Jennifer Whitten, Bob Luitjohan, Angie Fears, Mike Gould, and Linda Jakel.
 - Group 2 - Jon Greve, Phil Hardas, Angela Kim, Maura Donnelly, Mark Reaka, Barb Johannes (via Don), Terry Lammers, Wayne Steiner and Holli Martin.
 
*Patti Burdet at Chrichton Elementary said that they won the "Battle of the Books" for the first time in 17 years.  They are Greenbriar County champs!
 
*The Respect for Law Banquet had a great rotary attendance turnout.  Gasmart, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens were all rewarded with "Citizens of the Year" for their help in aiding in 17 arrests.
 
*Walk for Water - May 22nd, Edwardsville Township Park to bring clean water, rest and hope to those in need, in conjunction with the Silver Creek Rotary Club.
 
*Golf Tournament Meeting - Wednesday, May 19th, 7am at 9th Street Cafe.
COMMUNITY SERVICE - David Daiber
We have now have 4764.4 hours  - remember we have a goal of 10,000.  If you've been holding back on reporting your service hours, now's the time to get them in!
Upcoming service opportunities:  
 
 Pregnancy Care Center is looking for a committee members to help with the PCC Walk/Run for Life.  Contact Carrie Adolph if you can help.
 
Be sure and let David Daiber know all the service hours you put in...remember we have a goal of 10,000 hours. To find out more info on any of the above areas to volunteer contact David Daiber.
