St. Joseph's Hospital's Center for Senior Renewal
Lori Hahn

Lori went into great detail about this program that is offered through our hospital, that many people aren't aware exist.  Their overall mission is to renew the quality for life for senior adults.  As people adjust to retirement, they deal with new kinds of stresses and depressions.  Lori defined what depression is, the causes, the emotional symptoms, the physical symptoms, treatments, and some myths of depression.  Then she went over anxieties that seniors have and who is at risk, along with the symptoms and treatments.  Their programs either a referral process or self referral process.  Treatment can be from 1-11 hours per week.  They operate on the 4th floor of the hospital, from 8am-4pm.  Patients are provided with lunch and transportation.
