$158 in the pot this week.  Rich Knebel's table had the winning ticket, and our guest, June Blaine, drew the 7 of Hearts.  (If anyone is taking note, two weeks ago the 5 of hearts was drawn, last week the 6 of hearts was drawn and this week the 7 of hearts....James, are you sure you mixed those cards up?)

FINES:
If you didn't bring a guest to Rotary at all this year, you owe a buck.  Also, Rich Knebel was fined for taking to long to call that his table had the winning ticket!

HAPPY BUCKS:
Bill Sullivan paid a happy buck for Wayne this week because U of I had a winning game. (They really do have that love/hate relationship thing going on!)

PROGRAM

Rotary 101
Presented by Highland Rotary President,
Jennifer Whitten

With 6 potential new members in attendance, Jennifer went through almost all aspects of what Rotary is about and who belongs.  She started off with a short video that answered the questions as to who is all involved in Rotary and what all Rotary does.  It showed exactly how far Rotary International's reach truly is.

The first club was started in 1905 and  Highland's club was formed in 1938.  Jennifer touched on all the following aspects:
-Format of Meetings
-Attendance Requirements
-Four Way Test
-Exchange Student Program
-Who Benefits from Rotary
-Who's Receiving Funding
-International Projects
-Costs to Join
-How do we raise funding locally

And last of all she encouraged all the guests to join Rotary, even though Wayne Steiner already had an application in each of their hands before the presentation ever started!
