Today's meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. President Jennifer Whitten started the meeting; Connie Blackmon led us in prayer.

Troy Rotary - Next meeting is set of August 31, at Noon at Pizza Man in Troy.  Contact Holli with any potential members or if you would like to help out.
 
Reha Ozmen -  Our Exchange Student from Turkey visited with us today.  He's very excited to be here and is settling in at school and at his host family's house, the Kim's.
 
 
 
COMMUNITY SERVICE - Jan Brinker
We have 937 hours right now  - remember we have a goal of 10,000.  If you've been holding back on reporting your service hours, now's the time to get them in!

September 28th at the Highland Rec Center from 2-7pm
 
Pregnancy Care Center 
Carrie Adolph is still looking for someone to chair their Annual Banquet Committee.

It seemed like everyone was happy today:
 
Carrie Adolph paid a dollar in honor of her grandpa, who just passed away, as she wanted to celebrate his life.
 
Tom Wehrle paid a dollar to celebrate his 55th anniversary with his wife , Pat.
 
Connie Blackmon paid a dollar because Billy was going to treat her to 2 Cubs games this week.
 
Father Chuck Edwards was happy  because he is also a fellow Cubs Fan that also be attending the Cubs game on Thursday.
 
Rick Ringwald announced that he and his wife, Mandy, are expecting another child.
 
Jan Brinker thanked Rick Ringwald for his part in the Kirchenfest as chairperson and thanked Carrie Adolph for her donation of baby supplies at the changing station at the Kirchenfest.
 
Bob Luitjohan was happy because the Cards are 8 games ahead of the Cubs (Sorry Connie and Father Chuck!)
