INTRO
Today's meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. President Jennifer Whitten started the meeting; Billy Blackmon led us in prayer.
GUESTS
Bill Wagner, Joan Schuetz, Keith Iberg, Brittney Gibson, Shirley Federer, Martin Klostermann and all the wonderful Ladies Auxillary of the Knights.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Car Raffle -   400 tickets have already been sold, so we're doing very well, but don't let that slow you down!  Our  Early Bird Drawing was held with the winner being Citizens for Frank Watson, which was a mail in ticket.
 
Car Raffle - A sign up sheet was also passed around to sell tickets on Monday, August 3, in front of The Bank of Edwardsville to get our last minute ticket sales done.
 
Group Pictures - Our group pictures are in!  If you'd like to have your own copy of the group photo or of the board members, Voegele Studios is charging $20 for an 8x10 and $15 for a 5x7.
 
Name Tag Box - Next week, look for your new number on the lid of the box.  James is reorganizing the names tags!
COMMUNITY SERVICE - Jan Brinker
We have 191 hours right now  - remember we have a goal of 10,000.  If you've been holding back on reporting your service hours, now's the time to get them in!
Upcoming service opportunities:
 
Street Art Festival - August 1st, the Street Art Festival can use help with setup from 6:00am to 10:00 or 11:00am.  Contact Jan Brinker to help or with any questions.
 
 
Pregnancy Care Center - Carrie Adolph is still looking for people to head up committees for their "Walk for Life" in October, and for their Annual Benefit Dinner next March.  If you can help, please contact Carrie Adolph.

Keith Iberg and Brittany Gibson - Madison County Fair
 
07-21-09 Miss Madison County Fair Queen 
 
Keith Iberg, the current Fair Board President got up and thanked everyone for their support of the Madison County Fair and for the great weather we were having.  He also announced that this was his last year as Fair Board President, and that next year's president would be none other than our very own Rotarian, Art Schuetz!
 
After that, the new Fair Queen, Brittany Gibson, got up and thanked everyone for the support of the Madison County Fair as well.  Brittany is from Alton, IL and is a licensed cosmetologist in both Illinois and Missouri.  She works in a salon with both her mother and father.
