Today's meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. President Bill Sullivan started the meeting; Fr. Peters led us in prayer.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Golf Tournament - As mentioned at the meeting, we are down tee sponsors from 45 last year to 32 this year.  If you have any last minute sponsors, let Mark know ASAP!  Golf tournament is this Friday - hope to see EVERYONE there, either on a team or helping out.
 
Car Raffle -   305 tickets have already been sold, so we're doing very well, but don't let that slow you down!  Our first Early Bird Drawing was held with the winner being Mary Wright - Henry Metzger sold the winning ticket.  Congratulations, Mary.  
 
Rotary Student Exchange - WE NEED HOST FAMILIES FOR NEXT YEAR:  We will be hosting a boy from Turkey.  If you would be interested in becoming a host family (or know of someone who would like to host our visitor) please contact Lisa Hunsche at (654-7403 or  lisa.hunscheinbq@statefarm.com ) or Bill Sullivan (654-2103 or bill@highlandmachine.com).
 
Foundation Sustaining Members - Adrian now has ten members to start another giving circle.  Nice work, everyone.  Adtrian will have the appropriate sign-up forms at next week's meeting and those involved should be prepared to make their first payment of $100 at that time. 
 
Rotary Happy Hour - Thursday, June 25th at Marx Brothers.  Plan on attending this fun get-together.
COMMUNITY SERVICE - Jan Brinker
We have 6,282 hours right now  - remember we have a goal of 10,000.  If you've been holding back on reporting your service hours, now's the time to get them in!

Farmer's Market - Each Thursday, ,  the Highland "Market und Mehr" (Farmer and Artisan market) continues at Lindendale Park.   Deanna Harlan (531.5111) needs help setting signs for Farmers Market

Golf Tournament -  We could also use your help with the Rotary Golf Tournament....this Friday, June 19.  If you can help, contact Maura Donnelly or show up at the country club around 10:00 - 10:30.
 
Hard Road Theatre - Can use some assistance with ushering and selling tickets on June 25, 26, 27, and 28.  If you can help out, please contact Holli Martin.
 
Relay for Life - Is needing golf cart drivers to shuttle survivors and elderely from HHS School to the HHS Track, they also need  help with set up on Thursday night, July 9

It's still raining and so we (cleverly) sang "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head" and (no relationship to the rain) "Roll, Rotary".  Maybe we should have sang "Row, Rotary" instead!

Jake Gutzler
 
Jake's parent are Jake and Otilly (Welchlin) Gutzler from Pierron. Went through St. Paul Grade School.  and has two brothers - Wayne and Fr. James 
 
He worked at Steiners Men's Wear after high school, then at C Kinne & Company.  After that, 42 years at Tom Boy and finally 7 years at Tru Buy.  He got the nick name Jake from his father - all the boys were all called Jake (it was easier for his mother to call them!
 
This or That: Piggly Wiggley or Tom boy..... well you know.

South Africa, South America, New Orleans, California, Italy, France, etc.  about joining efforts through music to obtain world peace. It was absolutely amazing, deep and impressive!
