| ANNOUNCEMENTS |
|
Golf Tournament - As Mark mentioned at the meeting, we are down tee sponsors from 45 last year to 17 this year. At $70 per sponsor, we are currently down $1,960 in profit if we don't make some effort. If you know of anyone that would like to have a tee sign, please let Maura Donnelly know via email donnellym@terra-properties.com by no later than Wednesday June 17th. Something that may entice them is knowing that we are putting a program together this year that will be in all the carts with the rules and there will be a section listing all the donors and tee signs. So they'll be getting an added benefit this year!
Car Raffle - Looks like about 30% of the tickets have been returned already. Early bird drawings will start at next week's meeting, so get those tickets in soon!
Literacy Project - DID YOU RECEIVE A NICE LITTLE THANK YOU LETTER FROM OUR KIDS at Critchton Elementary School? Seems that our project has been tremendously worthwhile. If you could drop them a line a couple of times a year...maybe ask them what they are reading?...or how they are enjoying the new library books...that would be great. If you did not receive a letter contact Wayne Steiner or Bill Sullivan and they will get you a student to correspond with. One note - make sure you send your letter in care of of the school and not to the child's home.
Rotary Student Exchange - WE NEED HOST FAMILIES FOR NEXT YEAR: We will be hosting a boy from Turkey. If you would be interested in becoming a host family (or know of someone who would like to host our visitor) please contact Lisa Hunsche at (654-7403 or lisa.hunscheinbq@statefarm.com ) or Bill Sullivan (654-2103 or bill@highlandmachine.com).
Foundation Sustaining Members - Adrian is still looking for ONE more person to become a member of another giving circle - $100 per year for ten years. It's a great cause and an easy way to name a Paul Harris Fellow. Contact Adrian and sign up today! For everyone who has already signed up, please bring your first $100 donation to next week's meeting. Checks should be made out to Rotary International.
AND . . . Congratulations to Jennifer Whitten, who has been chosen to Receive the Paul Harris Fellow award from the 1st Sustaning Member group.
