If you do not have Internet access, printed lists will be available at the meetings.
Golf Tournament - The first committee meeting was held on March 31st. Friday, June 19th will be the annual Rotary 9-hole golf tournament. | LITERACY PROJECT - Wayne Steiner |
|
We're in the final week of our Literacy Project, but there is still time to donate. If you don't know what to donate, we're still taking cash donations to provide a computer to Critchton Elementary.
Wayne is leaving for West Virginia on Satruday morning and we need to prepare everything for his trip. Work opportunities - Thursday at 3:00 PM we'll be boxing all the treasures and Friday at 5:00 PM we'll be loading the van. If you can help, stop by FCB and lend a hand. |

| SONGS |

We sang two "new" songs today - the wonderfully uplifting "Grandfather Clock" and "Sing Rotarians" (sung to the tune of "On Wisconsin".) What, no Rotary songs were written to the Notre Dame Fight Song?

John Foppe - Community Link
John Foppe executive director of Community Link spoke to us about Community Link. It has 2 main locations in Breese. It has provided training and other service to infants and adults with developmental disabilities in Clinton County since 1972. Community Link provides a wide range of services. It strives to help persons with disabilities function independently in their community. It strives to get individuals out of large state facilities into group homes. Which creates a family atmosphere. We do have one in Highland which is in need at the moment. Presently it takes $103,000 to keep the Highland "family" together and uphold all 6 residents without overcrowding - for the coming year. They have raised approx. $80,000 and are still in need. If you would like to know more or how you can help contact John Foppe at www.visionaryvelocity.com John closed his program thanking the Rotarians for volunteering and giving a voice to those who don't have one. We thank John for all he does to make a difference. | |
