givING Back!
| |
On August 15, more than 115 ING Direct employees spent their 6th Annual Orange Day of Giving with HFH GLA! Associates from all over had the opportunity to make long-lasting change in their community by working on four construction sites in the City of Lynwood, CA. They helped repair bathrooms, paint bedrooms, and install siding on homes alongside our partner homeowners. Thank you to ING Direct and all the volunteers who participated, for their support!
Check out photos from the day on the HFH GLA Flickr site!

GIVING FROM THE HEART | |
As a once popular hit song goes, "You've gotta have heart," our donors have it! Miles and miles of heart! When you support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA), you give many families a new lease on life.
Giving comes from the heart and can be shared all year round. There are many ways to show your support for HFH GLA. Did you know that you can also make non-cash gifts and gifts that are deferred until a later time? Deferred gifts include bequests, life insurance policies, assets from retirement funds, and gifts that provide income to our donors and their loved ones.
In the months ahead we will provide information about many of the ways that you can make a difference in the lives of the families that we serve. Through careful gift planning you can put your heart on display, by helping our families and helping yourself at the same time.
For more information about how you can personally benefit from making a bequest or gift, contact, Jennifer M. Wise, Vice President of Resource Development, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, 17700 S. Figueroa Street, Gardena, CA 90248, or call: Direct: (424) 246-3627, jwise@habitatla.org.
