Update-High Schools

It is amazing-we have witnessed almost 400 people accept Christ in the last two weeks!  In Baton Rouge last weekend, we saw 173 people accept Christ. I've been to Baton Rouge before and was blessed to meet a father who told me that last time I was there his son received Christ. He said that his boy was still faithfully following God.  It was great to hear how converts are becoming committed disciples!

One girl from the high school was one of the worst "cutters" (students who cut their skin as a release from depression and hopelessness) I have ever met.  She rolled up her sweatshirt to reveal 3 and 4 inch scars all the way to her shoulders and mentioned that she also cut the inside of her thighs. Another girl sobbed as she told me she had not spoken to her mother in almost 3 years. She had tried to talk to her mom but every time she called, her mother hung up and once stated that she wished she would have aborted her!

Yesterday, I flew to Houston to speak at one large High School. I am constantly moved by the pain and suffering that kids are facing. I was mobbed after the assembly by droves of kids. Suicidal and aimless teens poured out their hearts as well as two rape victims. I leave tomorrow to go back to this Houston suburb - for a 2 day event.
 
Pray that we can infiltrate this city and the hearts of its people with the arrow of the Gospel. If you are not concerned about tomorrow's leaders- you should be! Many of you, will have children underneath the leadership of those whom I'm speaking too. If  these kids don't meet Jesus, our future looks bleak!!!
