Yes!

This one word has the ability to arrest, alter, cleanse and transform someone's life when it is spoken in response to Christ.  Last week in East Texas we witnessed over 200 people say "YES" to Jesus' offer of salvation, in a church that has less than 300 attending members!

I must admit that prior to our breakthrough service on Sunday night, I felt somewhat discouraged. ( I am dishonest- I felt very discouraged.)  Our Saturday night men's event yielded small results and Sunday morning I felt as though I was preaching in either cement or quicksand. I got to the hotel and began to search my heart to see if I was the reason that the Holy Spirit seemed to be hindered.

I know who I am and I know how sinful I can be. With my many imperfections, I often wonder why God has ever used me in the past and why He would ever use me in the present or future.  I told Him that if He had taken His hand off of my life, that I would rather be killed. I know this seems like a drastic conversation, however I am truly convinced that if He were to take his anointing off my life- there would be no meaning.  My greatest fear is that God would take His favor off of me. I know of no one that has ever lost His love but I know of many who have lost His anointing!  I have no asset but His touch! Everything I am- as a father, husband, son, brother and Christian are tied to my relationship to Christ. I cannot properly fulfill any of these roles if I am not surrendered to Jesus.

One of my mentors- Morris Chapman- once told me something that has forever been engraved on my mind.  He said, "There is one person that God  ALWAYS blesses!"  Anxiously, I asked "What kind of person is that?"  His reply- "The person who is FAITHFUL!!!!!"  Pray that I will be faithful to the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit!!! I fail so often!!!!

In spite of me, God did a miracle in bringing 188 people to salvation Sunday night.  I got home at 2:30am and was still so excited that I didn't get in bed  until 4:10 am.

Lastly, I am reading the book of Judges. How refreshing to see so many warriors like Deborah and Gideon, who made mistakes, yet were used by God to accomplish HIS plan.
Some preachers say that God is looking to raise up a army to do His work. I DON'T believe God is looking for an army to reach the world. HE IS LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS!!!! The Bible proves this!! In God's economy, groups don't lead people-people lead groups.

Will you say YES to Christ and do anything He asks of you????????   Will you allow God to raise you up [for Him] to lead your family, city, county, state or Nation???  Will YOU say YES?????

We leave tomorrow for Baton Rouge, LA for a 3 day evangelistic outreach. Remember us in your prayers!

A "Yes Man"
