Eugene and I just returned from Corpus Christi, TX and Dallas, TX. The meeting in Corpus was incredible. (By the way, Corpus Christi is Latin and means the "body of Christ") There were multitudes of decisions-including a young couple who visited the church and accepted Christ.

During the invitation, the piano quit playing.  Without looking, I made a comment that the piano keep playing until everyone had a chance to respond.  When the piano didn't start up again I looked over to see what was going on.  No one was there. When I looked down front the lady, who had been playing, was standing in front of me with tears running down her cheeks. What a joy to see people broken and responding to Christ!!!!

A few weeks ago, I hit a valley and was feeling overwhelmed with the business of work. It seemed like a weight was on my shoulders. I couldn't understand what was going on spiritually but I was feeling the drain. I had been consistent in my personal time with the Lord but my time was not quality. I was going through the motions and not maintaining an expectancy to hear His voice. The Lord showed me that I was working a checklist but not truly seeking the face and hand of God. I was no longer in my closet studying but simply reading before I drifted off to sleep.

I made the commitment to get back to the place where my time with the Lord was my only true commitment. Not just reading for reading's sake but searching out the truths of God's word in careful study and continued fellowship.  God is bringing me into a personal revival that I so need and want!!!!  We often think that we are so busy that there is no time in the day to meet with God, however this is all the more reason we need His touch.  If there is anything that we need to make our focus - then it must be on growing in Christ.

Eugene and I leave for New Mexico Monday the 26th! I am preaching to pastors Albuquerque at the Southern Baptist  Statewide Evangelism Conference.  It is a tremendous responsibility and I do not want to deliver a sermon but I want to give these men a word from the Lord!!!  I preach Monday night and Tuesday morning so please pray for me.  I know I will feel the power of your intercession.
