 Greetings!

Ahh, the high-intensity racing season is winding down, but not before some big events get underway. A few more Ironman Triathlons and championship races are to be contested. Team Kattouf Athletes are still logging some big-time training. Being that multi-sport season can be so long, think about next year's schedule and include a several week recover period at some point in your mid summer training. Try not to schedule a race during this time and back off the intensity of your training. This may give you a better outlook and performance come the end of the season. You'll actually look forward to the end of the season and not because you are mentally and physically drained from training. Plan it out with us, so that we can ensure you are optimizing your training and racing goals.

Sincerely,
Dr. Rick and Gail Kattouf

Starting in Dahlonega, Georgia the Six Gap Century is known for being the toughest ride and having the steepest climbs in the southeast. The Six Gap Century's ultra challenging route takes you up and down six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains. Test your stamina with more than 11,200 feet of vertical climbing over the 104 mile course. Elevations for the six gaps in this ride range from 1,400 feet to 3,460 feet. The toughest climb, Hogpen Gap, will test even the strongest riders, averaging a 7% grade for seven miles, with sections as steep as 15%. Check out Six Gap Century for September dates in 2010.
