TCourage
TeamKattouf Athlete Amy Javens' daughter Delaney was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 5 yrs old.  Amy, her husband, Chad, and Delaney are actively involved in Team Courage Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and are dedicated to raising money to support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Delaney Javens

This year, Delaney will be participating in an opportunity called Triabetes/Triabuddies.  Delaney will be mentored by a Type 1 Ironman Triathlete who will educate Delaney about blood sugar monitoring during exercise.  Delaney will travel to California and Arizona in November to retreat with twelve other Type 1 diabetic children within this organization.

The devastating effects of diabetes on multiple organ systems is all to well documented. Educating those with the disease and giving them control to manage it to the best of their ability means we give life, quality of life, until a cure can found. All of us know someone with diabetes; you, yourself may have it and not know it. Let's support this cause! Spread the word!

Donations can be sent to Amy Perman-Javens, 1473 Hofius Lane, Hermitage, PA 16146.  For more information, please call 724-962-0881.  Flat donations can be made out to Team Courage Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
