Lamium
Stick with the Latin.

Lamium maculatum

'Beacon Silver', Purple Dragon' and 'White Nancy'

Lamium maculatum is a shade-loving groundcover, one of the prettiest things to grow where the sun doesn't shine. Its common name, "Dead nettle," doesn't do it justice. Stick with the Latin. Lamium is Latin for "mint," (Family Lamiaceae) and maculatum means "spotted," describing the variegated leaves. To remember that, think "immaculate," i.e., spotless. Then think the opposite.
