"Don't rump me momma!"
 | Kristi Cook |
Our precious four year old daughter, Amelia Rose, has a way of thinking she can interrupt anything and anyone if she has something to say! I have been patiently trying to teach her it is rude to interrupt someone when they are talking. She was having a conversation with her daddy one afternoon when I remembered to tell him something myself. Hands on her hips, Amelia Rose passionately told me, "Don't rump me momma!" Trying to figure out what she meant , I finally said, "You mean don't interrupt you?" "Yes! Don't rump me!"
No one likes to be interrupted! Including my little Amelia Rose. The prophet Jonah did not like God interrupting his comfortable and prestigious life either. Well-respected and popular in Israel, God called him to preach to his enemies in Nineveh. Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted by Priscilla Shirer is a six week study diving deep into the book of Jonah. Shirer points out that we need a fresh perspective on life's interruptions. We cannot avoid them, good or bad, big or small, but we can learn to see them as a divine invitation from God. Explore the life of Jonah as you never have before! And as Priscilla says herself, "You will have a whale of a time!"
