 Economic Empowerment Networking BreakfastThis is an opportunity to hear, share, and discuss efforts towards the economic empowerment of girls. Whether you are an individual, organization, or a developer of innovative tools that work towards improving the lives of girls; we want you to attend. These gatherings are held on the second Tuesday of the month. Connect with your fellow girl-serving colleagues, discuss topics relevant to your work, and unwind in a fun, casual atmosphere! On Saturday, December 4th, all SWSG girls, mentors and families are invited to mark with SWSG in the Historic Steel Valley Christmas Parade! The Parade will travel along 8th Avenue from West Homestead, through Homestead and end in Munhall. There will be a holiday reception for our families at the end of the parade. SWSG offers programming at two locations in the Steel Valley community, Rainbow Kitchen Community Services and Best of the Batch Foundation where we bring girls from Barrett Elementary, Park Elementary, and Propel Homestead together to share the SWSG experience. We are so excited to be a part of the parade once again! If you would like to join us for some fun and fitness, please contact Vanessa Veltre at Vveltre@swsg.org for more information.  Join us on December 2 for a presentation featuring Deborah Scharf, PhD, Associate Behavioral and Social Scientist at the RAND Corporation. Dr. Scharf will present a "before and after the ban" picture of the recognition and treatment of nicotine withdrawal at WPIC.
