I hope everyone is keeping warm and well this winter!
July started off with a bang for me with the Auckland Stamp Extravaganza and a Cheerleading competition for my girls. Both were big successes! We have certainly grown to love the opportunites New Zealand has afforded us.
The time is quickly approaching for our stamp camp! August 14-16 is the Stamp Your Art Out Stamp Camp in West Auckland. It will be a FULL weekend of stamping (of course) challenges, swaps, prizes, goodie bags . . . $195 includes accommodation and meals. Numbers limited. Registration forms available here.
July's Virtual Class is a sweet flip book on a stand. Perfect for your own desk, for recipes or for a gift! You'll be using the rich Holiday Treasures papers and more of the new ribbons. $17 includes postage. While supplies last!

Recovering from an oopsie . . .

Have you evern gotten a big ink smudge on your work? Or had to remove something and torn your artwork?
I know this happens to me a lot! Okay, I do it to myself a lot! So what do you do?
The first thought is to simply turn the cardstock over and start again. However, sometimes this is not an option.
Another idea is to view it as a creative opportunity i.e. 'How can I cover this up?" Flowers are a great option. (For boys, maybe stars or other shapes)
The above layout is one of my favourites. What you can't see is that under the cluster of three flowers is a Not Quite Navy fingerprint. Nice! So my idea to add some flowers came to be.
And you know what? I think my "mistake" ended up being an improvement.
