Issue #9 October 08
Hello Friends!

It's been a very busy September with several Extravaganza's, the big Quilt and Craft show in Hamilton, and a fantastic promotion!  It was great to see many of you at the show; thanks for stopping in!

I also got to meet many new friends.  Some of you are interested in having classes, workshops, or stamp clubs.  I am diligently working to contact all of you, but please feel free to contact me to book in!  The season before Christmas quickly gets full, so let's set that up asap.  Alternatively, if you would like details of a demonstrator close to you (where possible), I can send you that as well.

On a personal note, I am looking for someone willing to do a little housecleaning in exchange for Stampin Up product.  If you are interested, please email me.

We have some big events planned leading up to Christmas!  Make sure you check out the Upcoming Events & Classes section.  Some of my hostesses are opening their workshops to the public.  And, of course, please contact me if you'd like to schedule a class or a workshop in your area!

Much love,

 AAdding Colour to your Images

Stampin' Up! offers two kinds of dye inks - classic (waterbased) dye ink and a waterproof dye ink.  The waterproof ink are Basic Black, Basic Brown, and Basic Grey.  The really neat thing about the waterproof inks is that you can colour in images using water mediums (watercolours, paints, twinkling h2o's, watercolour pencils, watercolour crayons, etc) WITHOUT having to emboss or seal the ink.

If, for example, we stamped an outline image in a waterbased ink and then tried to watercolour the image, the outline would run and smear.  The waterproof inks will hold fast, particularly when used with stamping specific cardstock, such as our Whisper White or Very Vanilla.

The above sample, however, is stamped with Regal Rose and yet the Paisley background is coloured in without smearing . . . How?  Blender pens!  These are double tipped markers with no colour to them; you must pick up the colour from elsewhere.  Here, I've picked up the colour from the lid of my ink pads, but you can use any of the above mentioned products and more.  The blender pen has a solvent in it rather than water, so it is ideal to use with your dye inks for adding a bit more colour to your works of art!
I've had many people ask about credit cards recently.  Stampin' Up! is working on this for us and they keep saying "soon"!  I will be very pleased to announce when we are able to accept credit cards!

Please feel free to contact me anytime with stamping questions or to enquire about the Stampin Up opportunity.

All the very best,
Jacquelyn Pedersen
