Kids4Peace

About Kids4Peace Atlanta

Kids4Peace Atlanta is a community of young peacemakers, families and volunteers. Each year, K4P Atlanta organizes a two-week summer camp for Muslim, Christian, and Jewish youth (Israelis, Palestinians & Americans) in partnership with Kids4Peace Jerusalem.

Peace is a lifelong journey-it begins within and becomes effective through action in the world. Kid4Peace is a grassroots program, planting seeds of hope in the lives of children and adults. This is a unique opportunity to choose a new educational path. Kids4Peace allows youngsters of all traditions and cultures a chance to learn how to transform conflict into understanding, offering a new way to live harmoniously.

St. Michael & All Angels and Kids4Peace Atlanta invite you to become part of our peacemaking family. Programs take place in Atlanta, North Georgia and across conflict lines in and around Jerusalem. The universal principle is simple: religion and culture are doorways into the spiritual essence of all faiths-which is peacemaking. The kids experience this transformation in themselves and in others; and build on it with confidence and competence in dialogue. Kids4Peace transforms ignorance into knowledge, prejudice into love, and assumptions of violence into experiences of respect.

Applications will be available for kids 7 through 18 in 2013. Please watch for more information as St. Michael & All Angels partners with Kids4Peace. (www.kids4peaceatlanta.org)
