Holy Smoking BBQ A Success
The initial goal was for the deacon community to raise $3000 for Church of the Common Ground, with a stretch goal of $5000. All figures are not in yet, but as of February 10th, net proceeds from the sale of over 330 pork butts was over $8500, with a strong possibility that $9000 (3X the original goal) will be raised. St. Michael's parishioners bought 6 pork butts and donated an additional $515. THANK YOU!

A Prayer for Our Candidates for the 10th Bishop
of the Diocese of Atlanta and Our Nominating Committee
O God, we lift up each candidate for 10th Bishop of the Diocese of Atlanta as well as each member of the Nominating Committee for your blessing. Open all hearts and minds to the guidance of your Holy Spirit.
For the candidates ...
Be with them in their waiting and wondering.
Guide them in their ongoing discernment.
Give them courage to seek and do your will.
For those on the Nominating Committee ...
Grant them wisdom in their discernment.
Calm their anxious moments with the
reassurance of your presence.
Give them courage to seek and do your will.
Uphold us all by your grace and power. Give us faith in you and trust in one another and ourselves.
We pray all of this and more in the name of Your Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen.
