A message from the Committee for Nominations

Showcase your parish! Please e-mail photos showing the life of your parish (e.g., people and activities, not just a building) with a short description of each including who is pictured and the activity shown to nominating@atlbishopsearch.org. The photos should be high resolution and straight from the camera. The committee will review the photos submitted and will choose those to be included on the website (atlbishopsearch.org) for the search process and in the diocesan profile, a document describing our diocese to potential applicants. Thank you for helping the committee visually show the many facets of our diocese.

Committee wants to hear from you

Future listening sessions for laity are July 10 in Decatur and Macon, July 14 in Columbus and Athens, and July 17 in Atlanta and Rome.

Deacons will meet at 4 p.m. July 10 at the Cathedral of St. Philip. And an additional session for presbyters will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 21, at the Cathedral.

Responses to the following questions also may be e-mailed or mailed in a stamped envelope:

In your opinion, what is going well in the Diocese of Atlanta? What challenges are facing the Diocese of Atlanta? What characteristics do you expect your bishop to have? How do you see the spiritual nature of the diocese changing? What kind of diocese do we need to become?

Mail responses to nominating@atlbishopsearch.org or in a stamped envelope to Barry Jenkins, 411 Carrington Circle, Macon GA 31210.
