The Stations of the Cross and Other Devotions
by Victor Hoagland, C.P.

The Stations of the Cross is a popular devotion used by individuals or groups who wish through prayer and reflection to follow Jesus Christ on his way to Calvary. Many Christians practice the devotion, but what matters most in the Stations of the Cross is to follow Jesus Christ in his passion and to see ourselves mirrored in him. To face life's dark side in ourselves and in our world, we need images of hope, and Jesus offers images of hope in his passion.  By accompanying him on the Way of the Cross, we gain his courageous patience and learn to trust in God who delivers us from evil.

Greetings!

You are invited on Friday evenings during Lent to St. Michael & All Angels.  The church will be open from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm for silent prayer and the Stations of the Cross devotions.  This silent self guided tour is offered to you during your Lenten Journey.

God bless and have a Holy Lent

Lord, I am in the wilderness - and find it very hard.  It is hot during the day and cold during the night, and I am used to a moderate climate.  The ground is sandy, and my feet are tired.  I was excited when I started off, but now...

Lord, help me to go forward, not because I know where I am going or how to get there, but because you are with me - Emmanuel.
