After someone being held in the cell broke an overhead sprinkler, the new Middletown Police station on Valley Road began flooding. Paradise technicians quickly cleaned up and removed damaged ceiling tiles and vacuumed up the water from the room below the cell. They also used professional-grade dryers to dry out the entire building to prevent mildew and mold. Police Chief Anthony M. Pesare said the station operated normally through the entire incident.
