Welcome to the 9th Annual Thunder Beach Autumn Rally       (the 20th Thunder Beach Rally overall).  For me personally, this is my 18th Rally since taking over the helm and starting Thunder Beach Productions, Inc. in March of 2001.  We've come a long way!
 
We all know that 2001 was a very difficult year for our nation.  The fallout caused by the most important event of that year continues to haunt all of us, especially those of you who have had to directly deal with the loss of family or loved ones.  This is also true of our returning "Wounded Warriors".  On that note, I just wanted to recognize a local hero, Sgt. Joshua Cope who has paid a massive price on our behalf. The staff of Thunder Beach wants to congratulate him and his wife on the news of their upcoming parenthood!  We would also like to commend Joshua's mother, Linda Cope for her tireless efforts to help wounded soldiers, from the Afghani and Iraqi Theaters, by founding and organizing the Warrior Beach Retreat, which is taking place as many of you are reading this, on Panama City Beach for about fourty wounded veterans.  Thanks to Oaseas Resorts for all of their help.
 
While I'm on the subject of charitable people and the organizations which they support, let me tell you about the 1st Semi-Annual Charity Fundraising Event to Benefit Breast Cancer on Saturday, September 26th during Thunder Beach!  There will be a lot of exciting things happening, starting with a Scenic Ride, a Bikini Bike Wash featuring our new Miss Thunder Beach, and to top it off - A BIKER BASH BALL at Newby's Too!!  Our hat is off to the Thunder Angels, the American Legion Riders and Full Throttle Magazine for all of their efforts. Please check our daily schedule for times and places.
 
Starting this Autumn, the Official Thunder Beach Kick-Start Party is being hosted by the SHORES OF PANAMA RESORT, located right next door to Pineapple Willy's on south Thomas Drive.  The party, which is being held in the Shores sumptuous pool area, will be one to remember.  Not only is legendary show-band, Eli, providing the "sounds", but the first preliminary round of the Miss Thunder Beach Pageant is sure to provide some unforgettable "sights"!!  Add in the Hooters Girls and it just may be over-the-top.  It all cranks up on Wednesday from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.  Don't miss it!
 
Our newest Official Venue is PINEAPPLE WILLY'S.  This longtime Thunder Beach Sponsor has been an institution on Panama City Beach since 1984.  Known for its mouth watering Jack Daniels Ribs, outstanding hospitality and beautiful beachside location, Willy's is also the Home of the Blues in Northwest Florida.  This Mecca of Blues and Bar-B-Que is adding Bikes to its title by hosting a small array of outstanding motorcycle vendors, including Black JackCustoms (which will be raffling off a 2009 Harley Sportster) and G Spots LED's.  When you leave the Kick-Start Party next door at the Shores of Panama, make sure you stop by Willy's for their After Party from 9:30 until 12:30 on Wednesday night.
 
The Thunder Beach Welcome Center is once again located in the lobby of the Boardwalk Beach Resort, adjacent to the Convention Center.  This is your best source for any rally info that you may need.  Pick up an Official Thunder Beach Event Magazine while you are there.  It will be staffed from 9:00 AM to 7:00 pm daily. 
 
As always, you can be sure that the Miss Thunder Beach Pageant series for Autumn 2009 will host some of the most dazzling young ladies your eyes will ever witness.  The Pageant is sponsored by Surf Style Beach Stores, the Boardwalk Beach Resort (finals on Friday), the Shores of Panama Resort (Wednesday Preliminary), Sharky's (Thursday Preliminary) and Thunder Beach.  Host, Randy Snyder of Full Throttle Magazine is sure to have a difficult task, but years of training have prepared him well.  Cash and prizes total over $5,000, with the winner walking away with $1,000 cash and prizes. 
 
On Saturday U.S. Rider News will host the Autumn 2009 edition of The Best of the Beach Custom Motorcycle Show.  As it has for the past three rallies, the show will be held at Pier Park, Panama City Beaches premier entertainment and shopping complex.  Over $15,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the owners of some of the most stunning scooters you will ever see. Scott and Sylvia Cochran, owners of U.S. Rider News, in just two short years have developed one of the highest quality shows in the South!
 
Thanks to our local Surf StyleBeach Stores for coming on board as an Official Sponsor of the Miss Thunder Beach Pageant.  During the rally we will have Official Thunder Beach Merchandise tents set up at both Surf Style stores on Front Beach Road, just east of Coyote Ugly, and adjacent to the Shoppes at Edgewater.  They will also begin carrying Official Thunder Beach Merchandise year round.

It is our goal at Thunder Beach Productions, Inc. to keep growing our two Rallies using our 10 year old formula: Offer as much VALUE, HOSPITALITY and ENTERTAINMENT as possible, for the least amount of $$$$....which is often FREE!  No matter what somebody's economic station, in these hard times, nobody wants to pay "too much for too little"...the opposite works much better!
