I have a new client. He's had his domain name 2 days. He got a call from a Web optimization company, saying for the low low price of only $58 per MONTH they would make his domain information private so he didn't get spammed or sales calls. LOL!!! GoDaddy offers the ability to make your domain name name private for $8.99 per YEAR!!!   
 
Folks, don't get taken in by Ginzu sales people offering you the ability to get this or that for your Web site.  AND WAIT....we're not done yet!!! We'll also give you the SEO optimizer for only $19.99 per month. Now how much would you pay? 
 
You know, some stuff out there is really good and can help your business. But before you buy, give me a call to talk about it. I love helping people understand what's really being offered and all the options. Don't buy something that slices, dices and makes julienned fries if you don't need it!

A Web site basically does one of two things. It either tells you something or it sells you something. For those of us in business to make money, or charitable organizations trying to raise money, our Web sites should be in the business of selling something. Even if that something is just our honesty and integrity.
 
Do people have to wade through paragraphs of text to try figure out what you do or what you're selling? Take a moment and look at your Web site home page and ask yourself -What on this page convinces people they really can't live without my product or service? How obvious is that message? How quick is that message to find? Repetition is key. Are there simple buy now messages on your home page? Are those messages repeated on all your pages?
