Greetings!
Ok, so the subject line should have read, April showers brings May flowers. But hey! I'm a Web development company, I've got to go with that theme somehow. It's great that the midwest is getting all this rain, just wish we could spread it out through June, July and August instead of getting it all in April and May. I guess if that's all we have to worry about we're doing pretty darn good. Say a word of thanks to your maker that you don't live in Maynmar.
Stick to the Code!

How well do you know the html code of your Web site? Google knows the code! Did you know that Google only reads about the first 90kb of your page. Hmmm, how much of your page is that 90kb? Google and Yahoo want Key Words and well written content. But they don't want "meta-tag" keywords. Do you know the difference? How many H1 and H2 tags are in your code?
Stick to the code. If you don't know the code, make sure your Web development team does. But MOST importantly, how well does your Web dev team know your business? In today's Web world, having a well coded site is just half the battle in making your site work for you. Your Web team needs to make sure they understand doing business on the Web as well as coding it correctly.
What is your site's purpose?

What is the purpose of your Web site? Does it have to generate interest in your company. Does it have to provide information. Does it have to sell something. Does it have to be search engine friendly. Does it have to look cool!

It's amazing, but too often we only look at our Web sites with the above things in mind. By doing that we are missing on on the most important thing- - -What is our customer's purpose for coming to the Web site?

Almost everyone does it, we all build our sites based on "our" purpose for having a Web site. What we want it to say, what we want it to look like, what we want to sell.

There are so many different factors related to creating a Web site. So many trade off have to be considered, so many things balanced on the page....visual effects, text placement, key words, sales messages.

All of the above are things to be considered, but first and foremost consider this....People are coming to your Web site for a purpose. Do you know that purpose and does your site meet their needs? Is your site designed for you and what you like? Or is it designed for them?

When designing your site, ask yourself first, how well does my site meet the needs of the people I intended it for? Find out their purpose for coming to your site and meeting that need first.
Featured Web Site Kansas City OBGYN

http://www.kansascityobgyn.com
is the featured site of the month. Why? Because in the top left portion of the page are two links for the customer to download patient information forms. You know those forms they ask you to fill out if you're a new patient. Visitors to the site can save time by filling out the forms before they come to the doctors office.
