Thank You to Our Volunteers! It's National Volunteer Week and time to recognize our hundreds of volunteers who make our events happen for the whole community to enjoy! Our volunteers give up their Saturdays at our events like the Our City Spring Clean Up, the Urban Living Tour, Summer Fest, the International Fall Festival, and Christmastime in the City. They: feverishly sell tickets, move generators, faciliate vendors, sell soda, put up barricades and tents, watch over kids on rides, serve hot chocolate and cider, serve lunch to kids, give out prizes, answer questions of fest-goers, monitor parades, sweep sidewalks, plant flowers, paint benches and trash cans, pick up trash from riverbanks, assist local non-profits with organizing and painting, and so much more.We can't thank you enough for all you do. We value the time and energy you give to us. Please join us for free appetizers in the back room of Houligans Steak and Seafood Pub from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 19th.Celebrate National Volunteer Week!"Volunteers are not paid-not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless."

The Great Dane is in His New Home!

If you've been missing the statues Downtown, you can go to visit the great dane that is in his new home in Phoenix Park! "High Five" was the 'People's Choice" winner and was purchased, and then donated to the Eau Claire Parks Department to display permanently. "High Five" was moved to its new home, across from RCU, last week.
Thirty new statues are arriving and will be placed for all to enjoy within the next 3 weeks! |
