Charly's Market Sneak Peek!
There's a lot of activity these days at 225 E. Madison Street. Workers are getting things started on the inside for what soon will be Charly's Market.
We are releasing the artist renderings, as shown above, as to what the outside of the new grocery store will look like.
Owner Carolyn Miller says drain pipes are going in and other prep work has taken place, and this week concreting is being done. She says next will be framing, bringing in coolers and the food, and then decorating. Miller hopes to have the store open by April. |

Welcome DECI's Newest Board Member!
DECI would like to welcome Mike Carlson to the Downtown Eau Claire, Inc. Board of Directors. Mike is the Director of Circulation and Marketing for the Eau Claire Press Company the parent company of the Leader-Telegram, Leader Printing and the Country Today. Mike is also the Executive Director of the Leader-Telegram Warm the Children non-profit organization that provides warm winter clothes for needy families in Chippewa, Dunn and Eau Claire counties. He represents the South Barstow BID.
Also, at our recent Board of Directors meeting, new officers were elected. They are:
President: Mark Willer
Vice President: Bob Krause
Secretary: Cindy Wing-Reed
Treasurer: Ken Van Es
We also would like to thank our outgoing president, Paula Kimbllin, for her time on the Board as well as her time spent volunteering at our events and festivals. Thank you Paula! |
