Burger King Building Torn Down
A fast food restaurant building that has sat empty for years, is now gone. John Mogensen, owner of the lot at Madison and N. Barstow Streets, says the fomer Burger King building was torn down on December 30. Crews are working today to get rid of the concrete and Mogensen says the building should be completely gone today. He says there are no definite plans for the space yet, but there are a couple of options at this point. Any plans must be approved by city leaders. Mogensen says none of the ideas call for the building to be there. He says we will likely see construction at the site beginning in the spring.
