Somebody Cares has been working in Hait since the devastating earthquake in January.  With the recent outbreak of cholera there, our work becomes even more critical.  Clean water equals life; dirty water can mean a quick and painful death.  And H2O is not the only water we provide; we also offer Living Water for eternal life in Christ!

Because of gifts by friends and partners like you, we are able to offer both physical and spiritul waters of life!

PROVIDING CLEAN WATER IN HAITI!
 

When a cholera epidemic broke out in St. Marc, Haiti in October we knew we had to respond.  People were suffering and dying from lack of clean water.  So the Somebody Cares network became, once again, the net that works!

With coordination by the Somebody Cares international office, a Voyager Water Purifcation system was delivered to the YWAM base in St. Marc, Haiti so clean water is provided to neighboring communities. Acts of Compassion, Medical Mission Adventures, Air Mobile Ministries,and YWAM Haiti all played crucial roles in securing, transporting, setting up and operating the water purification system.  It is hard to tell how many lives will be saved due to this effort, but lives will be saved!   And as people come to get drinking water, they will also encounter the Living Water of Jesus!

November Prayer Requests 

 

1. Please cover Doug Stringer's ministry trips in prayer.  In November he will be traveling to:

  • Brazil - November 4-6
  • Ecuador - November 18-21
  • Colombia - November 24-28

2. Please ask God to give the Somebody Cares staff wisdom, strength and compassion as we handle increased calls from people needing assistance for Thanksgiving.

 

3. Please pray for increased resources for Somebody Cares so we can meet basic ministry expenses as well as requests from families in need this Holiday season.
