CHEERS FOR VOLUNTEERS

leona derosa bodieLeona DeRosa Bodie has been named Vice President of the Florida Writers Association. In addition to an illustrated children's book and a mainstream suspense novel, she has written articles, feature stories, marine guides, poems, short stories and business reviews for such publications as Cruising World, Latitudes & Attitudes, Around Town Business Quarterly, various E-zines and literary magazines.

Chris Hamilton, Kaye Coppersmith and Frank Ridge are new at-large board members.

Marley Andretti is starting a new writers group in Lake City.

Joan Levy has joined with Beda Kantarjian and Bruce Kubec to form The Seminole County Writers Group. Their first meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 14 at 6:15 p.m. at the Lake Mary Library, Northwest Branch located at 580 Greenway Boulevard.
