CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

leadershopFWA is moving forward at a record pace. More members than ever before. More writers' groups. More benefits. And now it's time for members to get involved by submitting nominations for the office of Vice President and Secretary. This is your chance to influence the future of FWA and help us grow strategically.

FWA's current VP, Chris Hamilton, has served us well, but his term expired at the end of 2010.  We're looking for a strong leader to assist President Chrissy Jackson in the management of our organization. If you or someone you know has the interest and the determination to keep us on course as an organization of Writers Helping Writers, please submit your nomination to either Vic DiGenti or Ronnie Hart.

Shara Smock has served as Secretary for several years and has now stepped down. Elaine Senecal is filling her 2011 term and will run for a full 2-year term next year. But if there are any other nominations, please forward them to either Vic or Ronnie.

JANUARY 15 - JIM SWAIN EBOOKS WORKSHOP

jim swainBestselling author Jim Swain released four original eBook novels in October 2010, all of which now sit on Amazon's bestseller eBook list. The success of those eBooks led him to speak to writers' groups about publishing in digital format.

This is the brave new world of publishing, and the response to it has been phenomenal. At the recent St. Petersburg Times Festival of Reading, over one hundred fifty aspiring writers attended his panel discussion wanting to know how to publish an eBook. FWA is privileged to be able to offer Jim's workshop to you.

Saturday, January 15, 2011, 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Tampa, Florida $99.00 FWA members, $124.00 non-members. Seating is limited. Register early to assure yourself a spot. Click for more details and registration info.
